Eamcet on May 2 Telangana Notification released

The Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University Hyderabad (JNTUH) will hold Eamcet on May 2, informed Papi Reddy, chairman of Telangana State Council of Higher Education (TSCHE) at a press conference on Tuesday.

The entrance exam date has been advanced by two weeks this year as compared to last year. Last year, Eamcet was held on May 14. Officials said that the decision to advance the date of all entrances has been taken in view dates of other national entrance tests.

The pattern of Eamcet quetion paper will consist 160 multiple choice questions. The exam will be conducted in two languages – Telugu and English. Students will be allowed to choose Urdu as their preferred language to appear for Eamcet in Hyderabad only. In Eamcet, 75% weightage will be given to the marks secured in the entrance test and 25% weightage to the marks secured in intermediate exams with relevant groups such as Mathematics or Biology, Physics, Chemistry. There is no minimum qualifying marks prescribed for candidates belonging to SC/ST.

As well as TSCHE officials declared the entrance exams schedule according to which ECET will be held on May 12, ICET on May 19, EdCET on May 27, PGECET on May 29, LAWCET and PGLCET on May 24 and PECET on May 11.
