Ganesh idols not more than 15 feets – HC

Source from Hyderabad specified to Hyderabad High court on July11th that the Bhagyanagar Ganesh Utsav Samiti and the state government to take major steps for Ganesh festival and reduce height of Ganesh Idols that are ready to install in Hyderabad this year they said that it should not be not more than 15 feet height. The bench comprising Acting Chief Justice Dilip B Bhosale and Justice P Naveen Rao was dealing with a petition by M Venu Madhav, advocate of the city, complaining that the earlier orders of the court are not being complied with regard to immersion of Ganesh idols in the city lakes. They said that dispose of material and Prasadams should not be thrown in the lake of immersion.

They said that everyone should follow the instruction of Maharashtra government that they arranged separate bins for dumping the pooja material. Also said to Telangana government and Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation to ensure that only natural colours be used in making of Ganesh idols.
