Godavari river water in next 2 years for Medak

Telangana Chief Minister Kalvakuntla Chandra Sekhar Rao held a grama sabha(village meet)on friday at his home town Yerravalli.He assured the farmers, that Godavari river water will be available for them for the irrigtion purpose in the next two years.He said that Gajwel assembly in Medak district wil get water and the farmers can cultivate the three crops in an year without any irrigation problems.

KCR distributed 42 tractors worth Rs 3 crore to landless and poor farmers under a self-employment initiative of the Government.At the meet he even said that ,Pamalaparty irrigation project will be completed in the next two years and it will serve to all the needs.He added saying government is making efforts to cultivate about 3000 acres of land in Narsampet and Yerravalli using drip irrigation technique.

“This year we are expecting a good monsoon which will not only ensure a good crop, but also help in having sufficient water for second crop.”Rao said. All the houses in Yerravalli and Narsannapet will be connected with Internet for which Reliance Communications has already carried out a survey and actual work will start soon, KCR said.”Our aim is to make Yerravalli and Narsannapet model villages in the State,” he added.
