Only 158 college affiliated to JNTU

Now in Hyderabad the engineering students will face a tough time in seeking the admissions from private engineering colleges. Because of 30 % seats were droped and several engineering college will be closed. JNTU registrar N. Yadaiah has said a total of 360 private colleges, including 241 engineering colleges, 89 pharmacy colleges and 30 MBA standalone colleges had applied for affiliation, only 158 engineering  colleges were granted provisional affiliation with a total of 671 courses and 79,705 seats.

He stated that “We have placed about 30 to 35 colleges in pending list for various reasons. As many as 10 colleges have no principal and once the appointment is done, we will grant affiliation to them. We have received complaints against several colleges and are considering to conduct surprise inspection. If the cunctioning of colleges is found satisfied we will give affiliation,” He also added that .”Colleges without principals were given 10 days time for appointment. So, in all means, we would announce the fate of these colleges before the second phase of counselling,”.
