9 hours power supply to agriculture

Telangana99.com: Telangana Finance and Civil Supplies Minister Eatala Rajendher informed that agriculture sector would get 9 hours uninterrupted power supply from March 16 2016. After three years, power would be supplied round-the-clock, he said.

Water supply to agricultural fields will change the living conditions of rural people and the government took up Mission Kakatiya to revive minor irrigation sources. Repair works of 20 per cent of tanks were completed. The government was committed to construct drainages, lay CC roads, develop dumping yard and provide safe drinking water in rural areas.

Rajender on Wednesday laid foundation stones for various developmental works in Chandurthi mandal and participated in Grama Jyothi. Speaking on the occasion, the Minister emphasised the need for the involvement of people in the development of villages. Growth of villages was possible only with the participation of public, he said and the government has launched Grama Jyothi with a sole aim to develop villages. Both sarpanches and MPTCs should play an active role in the growth of villages, he said.
