TRS wins Narayankhed too
Hyderabad: Telangana Rastra Samithi continued its winning streak, TRS MLA candidate Bhupal reddy win Narayankhed bypoll elections with 53,625 votes. Total votes polled 1,54,866, TRS got 60.1% (93,076) votes, Congress got 25.47 (39,451) votes, TDP-BJP lost it depost by getting 9.54% (14,787 votes.
The TRS led all the 21 rounds of counting. In the 13 elections held since 1957, the Congress and the TDP had won four times each, and Independents had won five times. The TRS broke the stranglehold of two families, the Shetkars and the Kista Reddys, on the backward and Telangana state’s only faction ridden consistency.
